The Intended use section asks you to select Internal or Client use. This enables us to identify whether we'll send the Welcome email to the list of internal email addresses we already have for you and your team, or whether you’ll need to provide a new email address to the Beeks team, e.g., that of your client.

  • Internal
    This is the default. Select Internal if the DS is for users in your organisation. This includes both parent and child users. The Welcome email for the DS will be sent to your internal contact list only.

A child is an organisation for which you (the parent) provide cloud services using Beeks' infrastructure. A child user is somebody within that child organisation. Child users have access to a Beeks tenant portal and so Beeks will already have their email address. See Viewing tenant portals for more information about Child portals and their users.

In most cases, Compute Items set up for Child portals will be configured using the ‘Internal’ tab - because Portal accounts will have already been setup for the users of these portals are already.

  • Client use
    Select Client use if the DS is for your client, and they do not have access to a Beeks tenant portal. The Welcome email for the DS will be sent to the email addresses you’ll provide here, which are external users that don’t have Beeks Portal accounts.
