Purpose

The Market Data Stats by Visibility Point dashboard provides Market Data statistics by Visibility Point (VP) for the set of Feeds being monitored. Please see the Common Use Cases section in Beeks Document BKDA004 VMX-Explorer User Guide for an example of use.

The aggregator levels are Visibility Point -> ExtGroup -> Switch port -> Feed -> Side -> Channel.

Dashboard overview

You can configure which visibility point you are viewing market data for.

The Totals table displays key information about all of the market data at that visibility point.

The graphs below that display all of the different metrics available for the External Groups/Feeds that you have selected.

The Totals table and all of the charts can be adjusted individually to either view the data by Feed (highest level summary), by Side or by Channel (lowest level of granularity).

Usage instructions

Select a particular Visibility Points (VPs) and choose which ExtGroup and Feeds to report on.

The default display will be to view all ExtGroups and Feeds for that particular VP.

The dashboard displays the aggregator level Feed by default. To drill down to Side or Channel level for the whole dashboard, select the Feed, Side or Level controls that are displayed at regular intervals throughout the dashboard.

Customisation options

If you prefer to have different columns displayed in the Table, this is customisable.

Panel overview

The Totals panel displays summary information about the key market data metrics at that visibility point.

Note that the Side and Channel columns are displayed at the far right-hand side of the table display. Users with lower resolution displays or who are viewing the dashboard in Portrait orientation will need to scroll right to view these columns.

Detailed timeseries information for each metric is available further down the dashboard. However, for a quick timeseries view of a particular metric you can double-click on that cell in the table and you will be shown a timeseries chart just for that metric.
