Association strategies allow you to nominate an Attribute on one side of the association, and map it to a Correlation ID or Alt ID on the other.
Beeks Analytics builds associations based on the real-time Flow so it is important to consider the order in which Attributes are populated, and understand how VMX-Analysis creates the association.
How does VMX-Analysis associate Items?
We can assign one or more association strategies to each individual Agent. Then, when VMX-Analysis receives Agent Events from that Agent, it applies the assigned association strategies and seeks items on the other side of the association.
This is done on a snapshot basis when the monitoring event is processed. If the item on the other side of the association is not present, VMX-Analysis queries in the background for a matching item. The query continues until a match is found or the configurable timeout period has elapsed.
Note: If an Item in an association arrives late, the association may not be matched successfully.
