A Virtual Private Server (VPS) is an isolated, private environment on a physical server.
One physical server can host multiple VPSs. Each VPS is has its own OS and software, and behaves exactly like a stand-alone server; VPS’ can be rebooted independently and have users, IP addresses, processes, system libraries and configuration files.
