In messaging systems such as ActiveMQ and Kafka, a Topic is a category used to group messages of the same subject or that are used for a common purpose. Producers publish messages to a given Topic and Consumers then subscribe to the Topics they want to receive messages for.
For example, the CDF-I data stream in Beeks Analytics' Core Data Feed publishes messages to an Intervals topic, which are messages about the timings between Agent Events.
