A Decoder is a tool that transforms data into Beeks format, so that it can be analysed by Beeks Analytics.

A key part of the decoder functionality is to translate one or more network packets into a single message, made up of multiple fields. Some of the fields may be enriched by the decoder (for example mapping a multicast network and port to a particular feed name). The message can then have further calculations performed on specific fields (e.g. latency percentiles) and/or can be passed for further processing to the Core Data Feed (or to the VMX-Analysis server as an Agent Event).

Beeks Analytics has built-in decoders for the majority of the world’s financial markets and common underlying protocols.
