Beeks Analytics collates a comprehensive set of health metrics via Telegraf into an integrated database on the appliance, and provides a set of pre-defined Grafana Alert Rules that you can view in VMX-Explorer in the Alerts folder. These pre-defined Alert Rules will fire if Beeks Analytics itself suffers a catastrophic failure, and they cover the most critical health monitoring of the appliance software.

The pre-defined Alert Rules do require some configuration by you, in which you must instruct the Grafana back end where to send notifications in the event of an alert. Grafana Alerting is extremely flexible and you can route each alert to a variety of Contact Points including Webhook, Email, Slack, etc.

In this section of the document, we describe the pre-defined Alert Rules and provide instructions for routing the alerts to the Contact Points of your choice.
