An individual business object, such as an order, is made up of multiple messages that are put onto a network or application by the parties involved, such as Customers, Brokers, Exchanges etc. When a probe passes a message to an Agent, the Agent creates an Agent Event containing all the attributes for that message.
Correlation
Correlation is where all Agent Events for a given business object are grouped together so that VMX-Analysis can track it as it moves through the network and/or the application.
VMX-Analysis groups - or correlates - all Agent Events for a single business object into an Item.
Item
An item represents all the Agent Events that relate to a single business object.
Beeks Analytics for Markets (BAM) is deployed using a standard configuration template that sets up all the VMX-Analysis correlation necessary to support a set of common latency measurements and their aggregations.
Beeks Analytics Enterprise (BAE) supports custom latency measurements and allows you to add your own pluggable correlation logic to VMX-Analysis to support rich custom correlation strategies that are executed in near real-time.
See the BKDA002 Beeks Data Guide for more on BAM and BAE.
